Jurisdictions

Jurisdictions are pseudo organizations for the purpose of managing a group of provider and app organizations.

Being an Admin Role of a Jurisdiction gives a person extra privileges:

• The ability to create new organizations
• The ability to edit the global list of designations and id types

Note that there is currently no expectation that there is a need for Staff or User Roles for jurisdictions. This might be changed in the future.

When a jurisdiction Admin user creates a new organization, they are automatically added as an Admin in the organization that is being created. This gives them the privileges to add additional users to the newly created organization. Being an Admin of a jurisdiction, does not grant any additional privileges to the organizations within that jurisdiction.
